Positive Relationship for School Safety
Mr. Mallory has over thirty years of combined experience in school security, law enforcement, and legal services. Mr. Mallory currently serves as the Director Of Public Safety at Tidewater Community College. He has previously served as the Chief of Safety and Security for Richmond Public Schools, Security Manager for Chesterfield County Public Schools and the Senior Coordinator of Security Services for Norfolk Public Schools. Mr. Mallory was formerly a police officer with the City of Norfolk for 13 years and served the city of Suffolk, Virginia as an Auxiliary Police Officer. He served his country for 7 years in the U.S. Air Force.
He has also served as the Vice President of the National Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officials (NASSLEO) and Trainer for the National Center of Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4), University of Southern Mississippi. He has coordinated special projects with the Department of Education and the Virginia Center for School Safety. He has served as the Southeast Regional Director for the National Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officials He has served as the Project Director for the Secure Our Schools Grant and the Readiness and Emergency Management Grant (REMS). Mr. Mallory has lectured at various conferences and has been asked to participate in local talk shows related to youth culture, community policing, school safety, and relationship building.
Mr. Mallory has earned an Associate Degree from the University of
Maine, Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Management from Regent University.
