Ms. Valenta Wade has over fifteen years of experience in the field of education—six of those years directly teaching math with a data-driven efficacy rate.  Ms. Wade holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Technology from Walden University and a postgraduate certificate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Richmond. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Physics from Elizabeth City State University. 

 

She has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the various components necessary to promote student achievement. Ms. Wade regularly communicates with a diverse population of school district leaders, administrators, teachers, students and staff members to employ effective and researched based instructional methods and strategies.  She effectively utilizes her skills to analyze data as a driving tool to increase student achievement in all content areas for students within a high-risk learning community.

Ms. Wade currently serves as a Manager of Testing and Data Systems.  Prior to serving Manager, she worked as the Coordinator of Assessment and Remediation (CAR) for a large school district.  During her time as a CAR, she analyzed and reported data from the state standards of learning assessments, NWEA’s Measure of Academic Progress Assessment (MAP), Algebra Readiness Diagnostic Test (ARDT), and various other local and national assessments.
