Transformational Leadership Impact

Throughout her career, Althea has built a strong record of results in:

  • Curriculum & Instructional Design: Authored district-wide curriculum renewal plans aligned to Understanding by Design (UbD), developed MTSS-aligned ELD programs, and created comprehensive assessment systems

  • Technology Integration: Led LMS training, managed digital adoption during the COVID-19 transition, and served as a coach and technology strategist across multiple schools

  • Inclusive Programming: Introduced new STEAM curricula, expanded gifted programs, and supported initiatives to meet the needs of multilingual learners and underserved populations

  • Professional Development: Facilitated professional learning on curriculum writing, instructional planning,  integration of educational technology, Gifted & Talented, Educational Equity, and English Language Development

  • Event Design & Community Engagement: Produced large-scale STEAM Fairs, Faculty Wellness Events, and regional Technology Conferences in collaboration with community partners

 

Current Role

Since 2023, Althea has served as the Supervisor of Teaching & Learning for the Centennial School District in Warminster, Pennsylvania. In this role, she leads district-wide initiatives designed to expand access, improve instructional quality, and ensure academic success for all learners. Her responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the English Language Development (ELD) program and services for multilingual learners

  • Leading Social, Emotional, and Academic Learning (SEAL) and inclusive practice efforts across K-12

  • Managing Federal Programs to ensure compliance and alignment with district goals

  • Serving as a Community Liaison, coordinating interpretation and translation services for families

  • Overseeing Registration and Child Accounting, streamlining enrollment processes, and ensuring data integrity

 

Previous & Other Experience

Prior to her current role, Althea served in the Council Rock School District for over two decades, most recently as the Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction, K-12. In that role, she led thirteen subject area coordinators and six technology integration specialists, managed a $3 million instructional budget, and spearheaded numerous district-wide initiatives to enhance curriculum alignment, instructional quality, and technology integration. Althea also held roles as a Technology Integration Specialist, Twilight Program Director, Online Instructor, and Webmaster, demonstrating her adaptability and breadth of expertise. Her early career as a Secondary Social Science Educator laid a strong foundation in inclusive instruction and student engagement, shaping her learner-centered approach to leadership today.
