THE PEOPLE VS. THE SCHOOL SYSTEM: A world where fish are no longer forced to climb trees.
Education Reimagined was created by a group of educational practitioners, scholars, business people, parents, and advocates with a diverse set of backgrounds, positions, and perspectives. The publication was developed as part of an effort to create a vision of the future of education. They believe, like many of us that it is time for a new conversation regarding our education system. While we continue to have the same, repetitive dialogue about what is wrong with our education system, they propose and I agree that it is time to realize that no amount of tweaking or modifying of the current, industrial-era system will fulfill the vision of all children learning and thriving to their full potential.

The publication Education Reimagined is a transformational vision for education in America. It outlines six key elements in the document: 1) COMMITMENT: TRANSFORMING EDUCATION; 2) THE CHALLENGE: AN INDUSTRIAL-ERA SYSTEM IN THE 21ST CENTURY; 3) THE FUTURE: A LEARNER-CENTERED PARADIGM; 4) THE DESIGN: LEARNING DOMAINS AND ELEMENTS OF THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE; 5) COMPONENTS OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM: LEARNER-CENTERED IMPLEMENTATION; and 6) CREATING A NETWORK OF PIONEERS IN EDUCATIONAL TRANSFORMATION: AN INVITATION AND A CHALLENGE.
We clearly cannot continue to do what we have done. If we do, we are assured to get the same results. Question, can we all agree it is time to "really" accelerate the efforts to transforming education in America? I simply ask, if not us, then who?
