School superintendents from around the state gathered in Bridgeport, WV on Thursday, September 28th for the first session of the West Virginia Aspiring Leadership Academy. Having served as a superintendent
in four different states, I had the distinct pleasure of serving as the lead facilitator for the first session. The Academy is a partnership with the American Association of School Administrators, West Virginia Association of School Administrators and the West Virginia Department of Education. Superintendents of all experience levels were invited to attend. Topics at the session included topics of professional standards for educational leaders, beliefs and trust.
